Kirkland Boys Youth Baseball and Kirkland Girls Softball parents, families, and community members:

Do you ever look at our baseball and softball diamonds and wish we had better dugouts? Scoreboards? Do you look at opposing teams and wish we had better equipment for our boys and girls too? Better catcher’s gear. Improvements for our baseball batting cage. A batting cage for the softball players. Do you wish more kids would sign up to play? Our league provides scholarships to players... more money means more scholarships for players who need it. We can do all these things, but we NEED YOUR HELP AND INVOLVEMENT!

KBYB and KGS are in the process of combining leagues to form one joint youth league for the good of both programs. Yes, this is a baseball tournament over your Fourth of July weekend. The increased traffic on this particular weekend in our small community means an opportunity to raise a LOT more money that will go into BOTH BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL. KBYB has always used our concession stand as a means of fundraising instead of sending home fundraising packets. KGS did not do their yearly cookie dough sales this year, so this tournament is in place of that.

Our board is asking that you please step up and give us two hours of your time this coming weekend. When small towns like ours come together, big things can happen. We’re trying to make big things happen for our baseball and softball kids and we can’t do it without you!
