A quote I strive to live by everyday:

“You have the power over your mind- not outside events. Realize this, and you will find strength”🧠⚡️

No matter what happens in life, you are always in control of how you percieve it

It’s natural to have emotional reactions to most things (good/bad) but strength comes from resisting that immediate reaction, acknowledging how you feel, and responding more rationally

This will always be a work in progress. We may practice things like this and maybe meditate every day… but keep in mind that this is something we will never “master”

What simple things did I do to get to where I’m at today?👇🏼

1️⃣PRIORITIZING FOOD- You won’t pack on any muscle if you starve yourself and don’t learn to enjoy nutritious foods

2️⃣PROGRESSIVELY OVERLOADING- Push your limits an extra mile each and every day so you can adapt and feel confident to push your boundaries

3️⃣CHANGING MY MINDSET- Probably the most important aspect you need to make a difference. Having a positive mindset and telling yourself that nothing is stopping you is all you need to get on the track. To this day, I am still on the same track, I feel more confident than ever and my journey will continue forever

4️⃣PATIENCE- Realize that you won’t see results overnight but they can come faster if you keep your head down and remain consistent with your healthy habits

Are you willing to change your mindset? Start planning your next steps and stop telling yourself “I should.” Start telling yourself “I MUST!”

5 THINGS I WISH I KNEW ABOUT FITNESS GOALS:

1️⃣YOUR GOALS ARE MALLEABLE: Just because you set a specific goal for yourself, doesn’t mean it has to be a permanent goal, if it no longer suits you, there is no harm in switching that goal. You are in control of your own decisions

2️⃣YOUR GOALS WORK AT YOUR PACE: The biggest mistake people often make is doing too much too fast. Personal development is not a race, but a marathon

3️⃣REST DAYS ARE VITAL: Do yourself a favor and take just 2 days off of training. You will feel like you can tackle your next gym session 10x harder

4️⃣DO WHAT YOU LOVE AND NOT WHAT THE INTERNET SAYS: I’m sure a lot of you know by now that you shouldn’t believe everything you see online. The point here is not to only fall in love with the destination, but the journey itself

5️⃣FITNESS DOESN’T END WHEN YOU REACH YOUR GOALS: Fitness is for life. There are always higher heights if you dream them

Keep referring back to your fitness goals and make sure it is realistic to you. Think about the big picture but break it down step by step which is realistic to you and stay on the road💯
