LBL HOG HUNTS FAQs
- How much are your hunts?
Our hunts are $150 per hunter broken down as follows: $50 Non-refundable deposit to hold your booked date $100 after your hunt has completed
- How do your hunts work?
Our guide will es**rt you to your blind. Our hogs are mostly nocturnal so you will be hunting over feeders with automatic motion detection lights. You will have the freedom to sit the entire night and hunt the baited area/feeder.
-is it spot and stalk hunting or blind hunting
You will be hunting from a blind.
-Is there a kill limit or kill fees?
No you make take as many hogs as you can hit, and No we do not charge kill fees.
- Do you offer processing of my kill ? and how much is it?
We will skin, gut, and quarter your animal for you at no charge. Any further processing or butchering is your responsibility after you leave the ranch.
- What items should I bring for my hunt?
We recommend:
a rifle (any caliber larger than .22) or shotgun (slugs or buckshot)
hunting clothes (camo or dark clothes applicable to the weather)
snacks and water (you may be sitting in the blind for quite some time, you may get hungry, we also recommend "quiet" foods that don't make crunchy noises and or have loud wrappers)
thermacell mosquito repellant device,(warmer nights) our blinds are near a creek bed and this device will make your time in the blind much more enjoyable.
regular mosquito repellant sprays will scent bust you and repel the hogs as well.
- I am coming from out of town. Where can I spend the night?
At this time we do not offer lodging, However, there are several affordable hotels in Jasper Tx (20 mins from the ranch)
- If I come during deer season can I take a deer should I see one?
NO, LBL HOG HUNTS is just what it is, hog hunts only
- How far are the shots from the blinds typically?
The average shot you will take will be no further than 50 yards
-Will I be able to sight in my rifle before my hunt?
We have a 200 yard range and shooting bench you can use free of charge. However you will need to come several hours earlier to sight in prior to your hunt.
- My (insert person here) would like to come and sit in the blind with me will they have to pay?
If you are in the blind you counted as a hunter and will need to pay the fee.
