This is a link to a survey regarding the athletic department considering changing athletic conferences for high school sports. The consideration is switching from the BIG X to the Potomac Valley Conference (PVC). Take a couple seconds to let your opinion be known. The switch wouldn’t change our scheduling process or travel but would put us in a different conference tournament. The switch would be for all sports at PHS and the survey is geared with that in mind. I won’t share my opinion on the potential switch but we have been very competitive both individually (historically) and as a team in recent years in the BIG X. I also believe that this would continue if we did switch to the PVC.

Preston High School (PHS) has been affiliated with the Big 10 Athletic Conference for the majority of the history of the school (23 years total) and competes against 11 other schools in Barbour, Marion, Harrison, Lewis, Upshur, Randolph, and Taylor counties. However, there has been recent discussion within the school's current coaches about possible affiliation with the Potomac Valley Athletic Conference made up of schools from Mineral, Morgan, Hampshire, Hardy, Randolph, Grant, Tucker, and Pendleton Counties. The purpose of the survey is to garner feedback from student/athletes; parents, coaches, & community members related to PHS's future athletic affiliation.
