Water Safety Wednesday Tip! 💦

When you are picking out your child’s swim suit choose the bright colors: orange, pinks, reds, bright green, and yellows, and AVOID, blue, grey or dull colors that blend in with the water!

Water 💦 Safety Wednesday Tip! Layers of protection are key to water safety! A pool fence is a MUST to keep our curious little cuties safe!

Pool fences are a crucial layer of protection within an effective water safety strategy. A physical barrier with self-latching gate helps to protect your children, your neighbors children, even your pets! 🏡 👧👦🐶

Rental property? No children in your home full time? You still need a physical barrier between the home & the pool!

Mesh pool safety fences are removable and easy to put back up when your home plays host to tiny visitors. Other options are a safety net or an automatic cover, but the fence with self latching gate remains our top recommendation.

We owe it to the most vulnerable among us to keep them safe, and thinking they will never ever be unsupervised is not a sound strategy to achieve that goal. Accidents happen to the most careful and loving of families. Ending the childhood drowning epidemic starts with awareness...help us spread the word by sharing this info! 💙💦

Water Safety Wednesday Tip!!

At ISR, we are big believers in "The Sooner, The Safer" when asked the ideal age to enroll a child in lessons. Many families will second guess enrolling an infant because their baby doesn't do much (yet!) and it's hard to imagine them ever making it to water by themselves. Another common reason families opt to wait is not having a backyard pool at home.

But sadly, little ones can manage to quickly and quietly meet bodies of water alone in rather unexpected places- think vacation rentals without childproofing, a friends house with an unknown doggie door, a playdate where a fence gets left ajar, etc. 😞

We cannot prepare the path for our children, but we can prepare our children for the path 💪 So once your babe is 6 months and sitting independently, we would love to meet your family!
