Thank you so much to everyone who came out and gave it their all at tryouts! I am incredibly proud of the hard work, energy, and determination each of you showed on the court. Congratulations to the players who have been selected for the Lady Jackets 2026-2027 season—I am so excited for what we are going to accomplish together! For anyone who missed the initial tryouts, we will be holding our designated makeup tryout this coming Monday at 3:00 PM. Regular team practice will follow immediately after from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM. Let's make this an unforgettable season, Lady Jackets! 💙🧡

Hello everyone! My name is Maggie Turpin, and I am so incredibly excited to announce that I am your new Head Coach for the 2026-2027 season! Alongside stepping into this coaching role, I am also thrilled to be teaming up as the new co-P.E. teacher this year at Cherokee Middle School.

I just wanted to say that I promise once I know tryout dates they will be posted on this page and of course the middle school page will post it as well!
It does look like the co-op with Midway Middle will stay in place so that means only students who
will/are attending Midway Middle and Cherokee Middle can tryout

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
As of now there are no tryout dates scheduled, BUT you can start doing things in preparation for the tryouts.
*A physical dated after April 15,2026 MUST be turned in prior to tryouts, no exceptions are made for that. If you don’t have it, you can’t try out.
*Final Forms will need to be filled out and signed PRIOR to tryouts
*For those of you that will be new to trying out and also as a reminder to those who have tried out before. Middle school volleyball is nothing like rec. The level of play is different. You are required to practice over the summer, as games start right when school starts back. There are multiple games a week, some district games are in Sevier County (our district is very wide spread). You MUST provide your own transportation to and from practices and games. All things to keep in mind.

Over a month later, but we finally have our TSSAA District Champion Trophy! 🧡💙

SOOO proud of this team….20-2 as a 2nd year program, moved from class A to AA and walked away 17-1 in the regular season (only forced to a 3rd set one time) South Division champs, overall district #1 seed and Region 2, District 3, District Tournament Champions (won in 2 sets all 3 games), advancing as the #1 seed from our district to Sectionals. I wish it would have ended with a trip to States, but NOTHING to be ashamed of! This team will forever hold a special place in my heart 💙🧡
No all district team (maybe one day volleyball will get with it)
