The Weymouth Knights have won the Old Colony League for the 6th time, first under captain Keith Happeny after defeating the Bucks who fought strong all night and had their best season yet. Thanks to the players, umpires, officials, fans, and families who have made this season so great for the South Shore’s Friday rec league.

An incredible night of games has brought us to our final four:
The Knights beat the Bucks on a walk off 17-16 then the Bucks put the Angels away 18-17.
In the other bracket the Mariners beat the Seraphs 10-4 followed by Seraphs beating KC’s in extras.
Friday it’ll be Bucks-Seraphs in an elimination game then the Knights-Mariners winner will advance to the title game. Thanks to the players and teams for giving it all on a sweltering night for each other and the league.

Congratulations to The Current, a true expansion team who met each other week one, survived some rough patches and pulled it together to win the Clampionship. The noble Clams scored 7 in the bottom of the 7th to force extras but it was The Current’s night. This capped off an incredible night of games at Libby and Weston.

The weather cost us some games last week but we are back with Bucks-Knights with loser playing the Angels in an elimination game and across town it is Seraphs-Mariners with KC’s against the loser followed by the Clampionship Final of Super Clam Sluggers vs The Current. I swear that it all makes sense! Come check it out! For last week’s games it should be noted the Current vs Brew Crew was the game of the night, with a great defensive ending.
