What a way to finish the weekend at the Major League Summer Slugfest!

After battling through a challenging Saturday, Tribe 9U Maroon came back focused and ready to compete on Sunday. The boys faced a tough WNC Hawks team in the semifinal round and earned their spot in the championship game with a hard-fought victory.

In the finals, the Tribe squared off against the Greeneville Braves. The boys played with energy, determination, and heart, coming away with the win and bringing home the Silver Bracket Championship! 🏆

After a tough Saturday where the energy just wasn’t quite where it needed to be, the Tribe is ready to turn the page and get back after it in the Major League Summer Slugfest!

Tribe 9U Maroon enters Sunday as the top seed in the Silver Bracket and is ready for a fresh start.

🏆⚾ CHAMPIONS! ⚾🏆

What a weekend for Tribe 9U Maroon!

Our boys went a perfect 5-0, battling through a talented field and sweeping the Gold Bracket to become the USSSA Tennessee State Champions! 💍🔥

This championship run was built on teamwork, determination, hustle, and the heart these young athletes showed every time they stepped on the field. From the first pitch of pool play to the final out of the championship game, they competed the Tribe way and represented our program with pride.

We are incredibly proud of these players, coaches, and families for all the hard work that led to this moment. The work continues, but this group has earned the right to celebrate an incredible accomplishment!

⚾️ TOURNAMENT UPDATE ⚾️

Unfortunately, due to poor field conditions, this weekend’s Lou Gehrig Day ALS Awareness Tournament has been canceled.

While we are disappointed that Tribe 9U Maroon won’t get the opportunity to take the field this weekend, we understand that player safety must always come first.

We look forward to participating in future events that support such an important cause. Lou Gehrig Day serves as a reminder of the ongoing fight against ALS and the strength of those affected by the disease.

The boys are ready to get back on the diamond soon, and we’ll be looking ahead to our next opportunity to compete.

Thank you to our players, families, and supporters for your continued dedication to the Tribe.

⚾️ LOU GEHRIG DAY – ALS AWARENESS TOURNAMENT ⚾️

This weekend, Tribe 9U Maroon is proud to participate in the East Tennessee USSSA Lou Gehrig Day ALS Awareness Tournament in Kingsport as we play for more than baseball.

ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis), often known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease, is a progressive neurological disease that affects nerve cells responsible for muscle movement. This tournament helps raise awareness and honor those battling ALS while supporting continued hope for research and treatment.
