How sad—this young lady cares only about a martial art (BJJ). According to her, it’s her whole life. Think about that.

Never forget about the guy who dedicated his entire life to martial arts, got his black belt, won the world championships, signed lots of autographs, appeared in movies next to big stars, then died and went to hell.

Listen, martial arts cannot save you from your sins. Martial arts cannot make you into a good person. If all your life consists of is martial arts, you are not living, but you are dead in your sins. You need to get a life.

The Bible alone is the Word of God. The Law teaches us what despicable sinners we are, while the Gospel teaches us our only hope—Jesus Christ and what He alone did for us.

If you know more about jiu-jitsu or judo than you do about the Bible, you have a serious problem. David was one of the greatest warriors in history, but he never placed his martial skills above the Word of God. He wrote the following:

“Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.”
Psalm 20:7

This land is filled with people who are distracted by things that are of little importance. The one thing that is of utmost importance—knowing the Bible alone, which is the Word of God—is ignored in our apostate land of sinners. Martial arts will fail, but the Bible will never fail, and that is exactly why the Bible says:

“Seek ye out of the book of the Lord, and read: no one of these shall fail.”
Isaiah 34:16

IJF sport “judo” shows again that it is opposed to ANYTHING that resembles Christianity, while promoting pagan religious gestures, socialism, and other heathen stupidities. As a Calvinist, I am opposed to making the sign of the cross, and that is why in the Collier Method of Judo we do not bow to mats, pictures of dead people, each other, or a ref—nor do we make the sign of the cross. We have been known to read the Bible before and after practice.

Serbian Judo Olympian Nemanja Majdov was suspended by the International Judo Federation for making a religious symbol and violating other codes during one tournament.

Many have seen the arm-throw, but few have seen the leg-throw, which is far more devastating. It’s illegal in most competitions, because this throw ends fights, rather than win shiny little medals…lol.

Most today have no idea how effective and dangerous this judo throw is. The sport that is called “judo” made this throw illegal some years ago.

The martial art that is judo, taught at my patreon, still utilizes this formidable weapon.

If you are not well trained at absorbing technique and landing on the floor when thrown (ukemi-waza), what has been misnamed “breakfall” by some, then it may not be a good idea to face one who is an expert at this throw.

As you can see from the picture, the one getting thrown has two floaters (i.e., hands without a grip that can reach for the floor).

This picture was captured during a sparring session.

The one being thrown used the hands to facilitate the roll and escape unarmed, but she’s an expert at ukemi. At this time she was also taller, heavier, and more knowledgeable than her younger brother. He was being trained for his first competition, which he went undefeated in.

With all the throws in his arsenal, he never used this on in competition, as far as I can remember. I am glad for that. Most in competition today have little to no training in ukemi, and it’s upsetting to see people get seriously injured in events.

This throw is nicknamed the “judo body slam.”

Technically speaking, this is a hand throw, and there is an inside and outside manner of doing this.

The variant commonly seen in old judo manuels and instructional videos is Te-Soto-Guruma. This is the version seen in the picture.

The Te-Uchi-Guruma variant is often seen in pro-wrestling, though how it is achieved usually differs from situations designed solely for entrainment…lol.
