🎱 TOURNAMENT FATIGUE WILL EXPOSE PARTS OF YOUR GAME THAT PRACTICE NEVER TOUCHES.

Anybody can make good decisions when they’re fresh.

The real test comes hours later after multiple matches, long waits, missed meals, pressure, and mental exhaustion.

That’s when players start giving racks away without realizing it.

They stop fully reading the table.

They choose routes because they’re familiar, not because they’re best.

They rush easy shots.

They force cue-ball movement that wasn’t necessary.

They quit walking around the table.

They stop checking angles.

And one bad decision creates the difficult shot they blame the loss on later.

That’s why endurance in pool is more than keeping your arm loose.

It’s being able to keep making clear decisions when your brain wants shortcuts.

Late in a tournament, simplify everything.

Use the easiest available route.

Reduce unnecessary cue-ball travel.

Stay with your pre-shot routine.

Take the extra few seconds to confirm the pattern.

And if you catch yourself thinking, “Whatever, this should work,” that’s usually the exact moment you need to slow down.

The dangerous part about fatigue is that you don’t always feel yourself getting careless.

Your game doesn’t always fall apart because your stroke got worse.
Sometimes it falls apart because your standards did. 🎱

I just want to thank everyone that reached out via facebook, personally, texts, and calls and told me happy birthday! My birthday was one of the best ones that I have had in a little while. That is not to knock any of the other birthdays or Doc. It’s just wonderful to have family, customers, staff, the community, and of course, friends to show me so much love!
