Received this awesome picture a little bit ago. Two former Lady Eagle golfers got to compete against each other at a recent collegiate golf tournament. Cooper Meyer playing for Harding University and Taylor Rich playing for Southern Arkansas. Keep up the great work ladies and good luck in your future tournaments.

It was a great showing today at the 1st Annual Bobby Peschel Memorial Golf Tournament. Several area schools came out to participate in the 27 hole event. Lake Belton won the overall championship.

The Salado boys team made up of Cade Fenoglio 119, Mason Brown 140, Richard McCoin 140, and Owen Piatt 141 won the Consolation side of the tournament. Again, these scores are for 27 holes. Cade finished in a tie for 5th individual. Not pictured is Richard McCoin.

Well, that’s all folks! Super proud of these young ladies. Tied for 6th overall after shooting their lowest two team rounds of the year and breaking the 700 stroke mark (695). Got two seniors we say goodbye to this season. Wishing Lydia and Cooper nothing but continued success.

Day 1 of the Class 4A State Tournament is in the books. Lady Eagles shot their lowest round of the year with a 351 which placed them 7th overall. 11 strokes separate 2nd-7th places. Quick trip over to Llano for some Coopers BBQ this evening. Day two looks to be exciting as the girls compete for a spot on the medalist stand. Salado Eagles golf season comes to an end with an 11th place showing at the regional tournament. The boys were able to move up one place after day 1. Many thanks to our two seniors Noah and Cutter. You guys will be missed. Bigger and better things waiting for those two in the future.
