Not all life jackets are created equal, especially for kids. Here's how to choose the right jacket by age ⬇️

👶🏼 Infants (under 30lbs):
• MUST have a head/back flotation panel
• This keeps baby's face UP in the water
• Grab handle on top = huge safety bonus
• Open water & boats = life jacket always
• If it doesn't roll them onto their back, its a no

🧒🏼 Toddlers & Young Kids (above 30lbs):
• Weight-based fit matters more than age
• Snug fit (it shouldn't ride up to their ears)
• Coast-Guard approved ONLY
• Open water & boats = life jacket always

👦🏻 Older Kids:
• Still weight-based (not "they can swim and don't need one" based)
• Open water & boats = life jacket always
