It's the middle of July and its Hot outside. What better way of staying cool and getting exercise then skating at Superior on Saturday night.

Its also a great time for some of the younger participants to get in needed practice time before the season's start. Steve, Nick, Will, Brian and Danny control the action and make sure everyone has an enjoyable experience.

The boys are playing at Superior Ice Rink on Saturday's, 11:30 PM. Get there earlier to get a spot. It's pick up, white jersey's vs. dark. A self officiated game to promote good hockey play and friendships. Thanks to Steve, Danny, Will, Nick and the regulars that keep this game going during these difficult times.

A shout out to Bob Buckles who championed this game for so many years. He also dominated on ice play with his patented "Spin O Rama" move.

As everyone in NYS is aware, Covid-19 has shut down Hockey as a high risk sport. There will be no Buckles Saturday Night Hockey until NYS relaxes these restrictions. Stay tuned. Current hockey events have not been favorable to that goal.

OK, the Saturday before Labor Day 2018 and Superior Ice Rink was again closed. No midnight skate. We will be back on this Saturday, September 8th.

There was a good turn out last Saturday. A number of the Killer Bees came down to keep their legs going between seasons. As usual, Will and Danny made everyone work hard to score goals.
