We’re promoting good causes here in Charlotte in Dec. F.A.R. Is a group running 139 miles in 24 hours for 1 cause.

Running 139 miles in 24 hours – this is what a 12-member team from Hickory Grove Baptist in Charlotte is doing to raise funds and awareness for foster care and adoption! Put “GO FAR” in the “Gift Notes” section when you make your gift at https://bit.ly/3I6aatl to support them! Link is also in our bio.

Breaking in the new HOKA ONE ONE Carbon X 2’s from Ultra Running Company.

They feel great!! Needed a shoe for increasing my miles that didn’t feel like I was running on clouds. Perfect for what I was looking for!

U.S. National Whitewater Center was the perfect place to kick it off. Still loving my Orange Mud hydration vest after 2 years of use!

Dude!! What is that and how do I sign-up?!? ...was my reaction to seeing a video Marcus Barton posted about an adventure race. He gave us the intro into SwimRun events. SwimRun NC was one of the most awesome races I've ever been a part of as a result. Now there's adventure racing! Looks like fun!!!!

Now I have a burning curiosity about adventure racing so I went to the source with some Q&A. Yes, an adventure race is absolutely in my future!

Check out the article. :-)

It's fun. That's what it is.

Has anyone here cycled the entire Blue Ridge Parkway? Something that really jumps out in this story is not just the awesome week long adventure itself but the father/son duo that did it.

In the spirit of inspiration... grab your son, daughter, spouse, friend, partner, etc. and do something epic. We call it making memories around here. ;-)

Thanks Jeff Gaura from Threshold Academy, Inc. for sharing this story with us and setting it up so others can join next time!

This is a tale (from our Blue Ridge Parkway Journey) of our practical response to the ancient adage, “a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.”

This is great!! We know from our story with Pete Dixon how much work goes into qualifying for the Boston Marathon. It's great that the Charlotte Running Club is giving those runners a venue to virtually run the race this year!

You can also join in on the fun (while social distancing). Check out the details from the Charlotte Running Club link below.

You can find Pete's story about training to qualify for the Boston Marathon on CharlotteAthlete.com here: https://tinyurl.com/ChasingBoston2021. You can also follow Pete's progress on his Instagram account .

The Charlotte Running Club consists of passionate runners that strive to spread the love of running and to help each other grow. The Club's goal is to bring the expansive, diverse, and exciting Charlotte running community together under one umbrella through motivation, group runs, and social event...

She's in the home stretch!

If you've been following along, Meghan committed from not running at all to running one minute per day of the month of May and kept a journal of the entire experience! Today is #23

"... As I approached, the little boy suddenly looked up and said Watch out for the RUNNER!. My immediate inner response was, Who in the world is this kid talking about. Surely, he's not talking about me. I'm not a runner. The thing is, to the little boy who simply observed me running, I am a runner. He didn't need to know how long I've been running or how far. He didn't care how fast I was going ( ). He didn't even care if my body looked like the stereotypical runner's body (nope). The boys only criteria in defining me as a runner was that I was, in fact, running." - Meghan
