CARAWAY SPEEDWAY UPDATE ON CHARGER FEATURE MAY 9TH

(Sophia, NC): After the Charger feature on Saturday May 9th, the winning car of Brody Duggins was protested by the runner-up team of Sparks Racing. The protest was for the bore and stroke and the camshaft of the winning car.

On Saturday night Caraway Officials measured the bore and stroke on the engine and both were in compliance with rules for the engine. Officials confiscated the camshaft and related parts for inspection by an independent engine shop. On Monday May 11th those parts were taken to Durham’s Engine Service in Yadkinville, NC for testing. After a thorough examination of the camshaft and related parts, the parts in question were found to comply with the rules for the engine.

All concerned parties were notified by Caraway Speedway Officials and the parts were returned to the Brody Duggins Racing team and the win was officially credited to Brody Duggins.

We had a pretty good day at Caraway Speedway with Jason Poole except for getting caught up in a mess we battle back up to sixth and then the car started overheating overall finished P7

Race recap: we qualified P3, redraw P2, and ultimately finished P2; we had a really good car all day really proud of the team for working so hard. Next race we be at caraway speedway the 28th with Jason Poole behind the wheel.
