Happy birthday to my “everybody’s-lady kind of a woman”. I could coin this word for you because it’s what we have in common and it’s why we understand each other.

I remember when all I had was a secret admiration for you; your poise, fashion sense, smile, beauty and love for God couldn’t be ignored.

It’s no longer a secret admiration but a constant stirring at all that and more; your loyalty, charisma, sense of humour, kindness, dedication…

Like I do say, I’m enjoying our proximity more than you and I’m truly grateful for all that lies ahead for us.

We have been counting the years since 22. I remember the first time I saw you, i saw the younger but more courageous and adventurous version of me. The “mother-hen” instinct ignited and I was going to do all that I can to protect you.

Through the years, I have watched you move from uncertainty to reality; I’ve seen you walk in “big shoes” and then you show others how to walk in same.

Oh I have seen you stretch into capacities; reinvent yourself and then create a model for others. I have also seen the version of you that dealt with the very lows, yet held to your anchor. What a honour to have held your hands for 8years and counting …
