Compelling true story of why exposing children to the arts matter. As a child, nerdy Einstein was deemed a "weirdo" but his mother compelled him to learn the violin, after he initially quit. It then became his lifelong passion, along with the discussion of electronics his father's friends drew him into at the dinner table. After reading last month's headlines about another social malcontent who went down a dark path, I can't urge parents enough to set their kids on a higher artistic path.
