Congratulations to our youngest 2026 CVD finisher!

At just 13 years old, Anton Yeung completed the 2026 Carmel Valley Double as his very first double, riding strong alongside his dad, Eric Yeung.

What an incredible father-and-son achievement and a wonderful memory they’ll share for years to come. Congratulations, Anton and Eric! 🚴‍♂️🚴‍♂️

A heartfelt THANK YOU to all our CVD volunteers for your flexibility, patience, and willingness to adapt as we prepare for this coming Saturday’s Carmel Valley Double.

Unforeseen wildfires have forced us to make significant changes to our original loop course, and we greatly appreciate your positive attitude and readiness to adjust on short notice. It takes a dedicated team to make an event like CVD happen, especially when Mother Nature throws us a curveball.

🚴 2026 CARMEL VALLEY DOUBLE — COURSE UPDATE

Due to the Timber Fire and current conditions in the Big Sur area, the CVD Staff has developed an alternate course that avoids the Big Sur area altogether.

Most importantly:

THE 2026 CARMEL VALLEY DOUBLE IS STILL A GO! 🎉🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️

Our priority is to provide everyone with a safe, challenging, and memorable double-century experience. The new course has been designed as an alternative to our traditional Big Sur route, and our staff is currently working through the final details.

Please stay tuned! We will share the new course, RideWithGPS route, and additional information as soon as everything is finalized.

This year’s Carmel Valley Double (CVD) will once again feature the full-loop course, and we are pleased to announce that Hesperia Hall will serve as Rest Stop #7 at Mile 166.5, as shown on the official course map below:

Nestled in the scenic South Monterey County countryside, Hesperia Hall will provide riders with a welcome opportunity to rest, refuel, and prepare for the final stretch of this challenging 201-mile adventure. The historic hall has long served as a gathering place for the local community, making it a fitting stop on one of California’s classic double centuries.

We extend our sincere appreciation to everyone helping make this rest stop possible and look forward to welcoming all riders to Hesperia Hall on CVD day!

We're excited to introduce a new rest stop location for the 2026 Carmel Valley Double (CVD):
