Rock n Ribs 2018 is in the books and we started the year off on the right foot, three top ten calls (Ribs 3rd, Pork 8th and Brisket 7th) and a 4th Overall out of 43 teams. We also entered the Pork Loin contest and got 2nd place!! Thanks to Connell Insurance, Royal Oak Charcoal and CountrySide BBQ Pro Shop for sponsoring us again this year. Congrats to QUAU for Reserve Grand and Burnt Finger BBQ on their Grand Championship win this year!! Next stop, The Shepherd of the Hills Smokin Summer Kickoff in May.

STOUT!! Congrats Gettin' Basted and Shake 'n Bake BBQ on your performance in the desert today!

Apparently Quartzsite likes Blues Hog, Gateway Drum Smokers, Smithfield and Big Poppa Smokers! Tim and I flew to Las Vegas on Friday morning, loaded up a Uhaul van with 6 drums, drove down to Arizona and cooked old school with only a table and 3 cans each.

After it all settled out, I got 9th in chicken, 7th in ribs, 4th in pork and 4th in brisket for a Reserve Grand Championship! Shake 'n Bake BBQ had to one up me by bringing home the Grand!

Now it's back to Vegas to blow a little of these hard earned winnings! I'm gonna make him drive...

The rust is officially off for 2015. Three top ten calls and first place in People's Choice to start the season feels amazing!
