Yesterday, the town of Tappahannock suffered a tragic fire which resulted in the lost of many homes and businesses. In the same way the EHS softball team stood beside us when this same tragedy occurred in our county, we are prepared to stand beside them. We enjoy playing ball in Tappahannock and our hearts break for the town and the people of Tappahannock.

We would like to take a moment and say CONGRATULATIONS to LHS softball’s very own Ayla Saunders for making 2nd team all region outfield! When your competition is mostly seniors and juniors, making an all region team as a freshman is tough! As Ayla’s first season on varsity concludes, she started centerfield every game, and hit lead off in the lineup. With over 45 stolen bases, tons of hits, and even more catches and plays in the outfield this season, we know she earned and deserved this! Not only is she an excellent ball player, but an excellent student and teammate as well. Her knowledge of the game, super speed, and positive attitude set her apart, and we are SO proud of you Ayla! Your future in the LHS softball program is looking bright. Congratulations!

LHS red devil baseball will play Rapp in the REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP game tomorrow at 4pm at Rappahannock! The boys already have their ticket to states and will play the first stage game next Tuesday, time and location to be announced. Please join us in support of our boys tomorrow at Rapp at 4! Good luck!
Also, please join us in support of Rappahannock Softball as they face Chincoteague in the regional championship tomorrow! Game time is at 3 and you can listen in on River County 107.5!! Good luck Lady Raiders!
