A film crew is coming to Waco to make a movie about Dinger Disciples, the faith-based baseball camp that was started by a couple of dads and has become a full blown movement.

We have had quite a few people reach out recently about registering as a camper or volunteer for our upcoming Waco camp, and we are incredibly grateful for the interest and support!

At this time, camper registration and volunteer sign-ups are officially closed, and we are unable to accept any additional registrations.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Please keep an eye on our page for announcements regarding future camps and opportunities to get involved. We would love to have you join us at a future event!

🚨 SECURITY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED 🚨

We are looking for a few security personnel to volunteer their time at our Dinger Disciples Waco Camp!

Preferably active-duty or retired law enforcement officers.

The safety and security of our campers is our absolute top priority, and we want to ensure every child, volunteer, and family member has a safe and enjoyable experience throughout the week.

🎬⚾️ DINGER DISCIPLES… THE MOVIE! ⚾️🎬

Yep, you read that right!!!!!

A movie is being made about the story of Dinger Disciples!

We are incredibly excited to announce that JC Films will be producing a feature film inspired by how God has moved through Dinger Disciples and the lives that have been impacted along the way.

And here’s where it gets even crazier…

The movie will star Dean Cain (SUPERMAN himself!) and former MLB catcher, 12-year big leaguer, and 2-time All-Star Jonathan Lucroy! 🤯

But wait… it gets better.

BOTH Dean Cain and Jonathan Lucroy will be attending the Dinger Disciples Waco Camp! They will spend two days with us filming scenes for the movie and meeting campers, families, coaches, and volunteers. They’re also working on gathering some other special guests, we unfortunately can not announce who that is due to who could possibly coming with them 😳

If someone had told us a few years ago that a movie would be made about Dinger Disciples, we would’ve laughed and said they were crazy. Yet here we are, watching God continue to do more than we could have ever asked or imagined.

The movie is expected to be released sometime early next year, and you better believe we’ll be planning a special showing to celebrate together! 🍿🎥

🚨DINGER DISCIPLES VOLUNTEER UPDATE🚨

We are incredibly thankful for the 50 volunteers who have already signed up, but with the number of campers attending this summer, we still desperately need more help.

We’re especially looking for high school baseball and softball players from around Central Texas who want to invest in younger athletes and help share the love of Jesus.

⏰ Volunteer registration closes Thursday so we can order shirts, complete background checks, and finalize camp preparations.

Need volunteer hours for school, college applications, scholarships, NHS, or other service requirements? We are happy to verify and sign off on volunteer hours.

If you’ve already registered to volunteer, please assume you are accepted. We will only contact you if there is an issue with your background check or if we need additional information. If you haven’t heard from us, you’re good to go!

If you’ve been thinking/praying about serving, now is the time. Every volunteer makes a huge difference in the life of a child.
