🎣Fishing Report 🎣

The chilly weather came through this afternoon, but it looks like it won’t be sticking around for too long. We should some decent fishing conditions and pretty weather back again by the middle to end of the week!

Fishing is starting to pick up on this end of the island. There were reports of a good Sea Mullet fishing from the piers over the weekend. Towards the south, there have been a lot of big Drum caught at the Point. Seems as though they are moving North a bit with one caught off Rodanthe Pier today. We should continue to hear reports of Bluefish, Sea Mullet, Blowtoads, Red Drum, Black Drum and Sharks. Hopefully some Spanish will start to show up soon too.

This weekend was a great Drum, Bluefish, and Sheepshead for the nearshore boats down in Hatteras. had a great trip yesterday with nice Drum and Sheepshead!

The inshore fishing is starting to improve as well. Catfish and Bluefish are being caught along with reports of Stripers inland as well!

The offshore boats are starting back up for the season. There have been good reports of Mahi and Yellowfins!

🐰Fishing Report 🐰

Happy Easter! It was a beautiful weekend here on the Outer Banks and the fishing wasn’t bad either!

We weighed two more Tunas over the weekend! On Friday we got to weigh another Tuna for the Fish Casket crew from Ahoskie. We weighed a fish for them earlier in the year and we’re so excited they got in the Spring Tuna bite! We heard many reports that they were within a mile of the beach at the end of last week. The forecast was favorable for the weekend and Vince came in yesterday with a 102lber. Now is the time to give it a shot! We can get you setup to catch the fish of a lifetime!

While we have also been anxiously awaiting a consistent Drum bite up this way, Chris sent us his picture with a nice Black Drum caught on Friday at Oregon Inlet! Hopefully, we’ll continue to see more Black Drum and Puppy Drum continue to head this way! Happy birthday shout out to Byron! His family came in to get rigged up and the birthday boy got himself a nice birthday Drum! 🥳

The inshore fishing continues to be plentiful of nice Catfish along with reports of Stripers as well!

🐟 Fishing Report 🐟

You can feel the shift along the OBX beaches! Warmer water is slowly moving in, bait is starting to stack up, and fish are finally making a showing in the surf. Spring patterns are setting up.

We have been anxiously waiting to see if the Bluefin Tuna would make an appearance this spring like they did last year. Today, they decided to show up and a few lucky anglers were there to take advantage of it. Quentin Turko got out before the wind picked up and found some in his kayak! After quite the fight, he stopped by the shop to weigh is triple digit fish! Congrats on the 107lb. Tuna! The conditions are looking promising for the next few days so fingers crossed we see some more hooked up. Hopefully they hang around for a few weeks!

The spring Drum fishing has also fired up the past week with fish of all sizes being caught from Ocracoke to Oregon Inlet! Reports of Puppy Drum have also increased along our beaches and seem to be making their way towards the inlet.

The inshore fishing has been steady with reports of nice Catfish and Stripers!
