Oregons Lake Oswego’s Don Schollander won 5 gold medals, Donna won 2. Don became a home builder and is now 80 years young.

I’m incredibly grateful for the help they gave me in polishing my freestyle and butterfly. Their Olympic coach had actually been my age-group coach years earlier at the Portland Elks Club and the Multnomah Athletic Club in the 1960s and early 70s It’s amazing how swimming can bring people and memories full circle.
