Subject: Rule Changes for 50 Bird Derbys & Heavy Hearts at KVS Club

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to reach out and give you an update following last night's meeting. We had a productive session and officially voted on some changes to the 50 Bird Derby format that we think will keep things competitive and fair for everyone.

Rule Changes & Updates

Removal of the "3-Time Win Board" Handicap: Effective immediately, we have approved the removal of the rule requiring shooters to be handicapped an extra yard for each win.

New Handicap Standard: Going forward, we will be using a 20-yard minimum on handicaps. You will simply shoot what you break—no more stacking yardage based on previous wins.

Tie Breakers: In the event of a tie, the shooters involved can choose between a 10-bird shootout or using the Wheel of Names to determine the winner. It will be up to the guys tied to decide which method they prefer.

Remembering Mike Rhodes

On a much heavier note, the club is mourning the loss of Mike Rhodes. Mike was not only a dedicated member but a truly great asset to our club and the trapshooting community. His presence on the line and his contributions behind the scenes will be deeply missed. Our thoughts are with his family and friends during this difficult time.

We look forward to seeing everyone out tonight at Gatch lake and our Shoot Friday Night.
