You think you know but, you don't know. You think you understand but, the reality is you don't have a clue. To be a Veteran you have to have given of yourself and family. Given, birthdays, holiday's, plays, sporting games, hugs and kisses from your loved ones, parents, spouse, children or for many just someone you love who waited for you to return. We stand the watch 24 / 7 / 365. We understand that is part of our service. We put ourselves in danger because that is what our service calls for. We knew when we signed our names to be in service it could cost us our lives and yet, we continued forward. If you've never stood the watch or kept the enemy at bay, there is no way you can fathom our level of sacrifice. That is why we served so that other Americans could enjoy all the things we sacrificed in a free country. We have served and are proud to have done so. Remember that when you see a veteran and say thank you for your service. It was and remains our honor to have served our nation.
