Criollo Kids

Criollo Kids While in the midst of a full on refit of my 55 foot ketch Criollo I decided that paid labor was unresponsive & unreliable. My volunteers are empty glasses.

This was CJ Drake's Venture, unfortunately he died mysteriousky on Sept 11th 2021 The page remains as a memorial for his many friends ~ Any queries can be addressed to his Mum who keeps the page alive ! I found that paid workers are full glasses. They come to me from all over the world to learn to be on the water, learn to sail, or get enough seatime & instruction to become professional crew or c

aptains. Partnered in this venture becoming a non profit is Paul Keever. Letting me use his fleet of vessels & charter boats as well as a condo & sailing club resort for a base of operation. My volunteers & I are taking key Largo by storm. Involving local businesses, adopting sections of highway & cleaning up our island & outlying keys. We have begun not only to develop better more aware captains & mates but learning the ecology of the keys & treading lightly across our waters. From day one my volunteers learn 1 valuable thing... "if youre on the water, youre on the water & you have an obligation to help anyone on the water"
I look at sailors & sailing as a whole separate walk of life. We are our own tribe out there. The future of this world not only exists in what we do on land but what we do upon the water that is so many cruisers & travelers front yard. My volunteers involved in this program will leave us to speaking one universal language... "Sail"
