🌊 The Christ of the Abyss — A Hidden Wonder Beneath the Waves! ✨

📍 Located in the John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park, Key Largo

This breathtaking bronze statue was placed underwater in 1965, standing in about 25 feet of crystal-clear water near the Dry Rocks reef. A replica of the original Italian statue off the coast of Genoa, it was created to honor divers and those who’ve lost their lives at sea. Today, it’s one of the most iconic dive sites in the Florida Keys, surrounded by colorful coral and vibrant marine life.

🤿 Whether you’re snorkeling or scuba diving, this sacred underwater monument is a must-see piece of Keys history.

The Ernest Hemingway Home in Key West is more than just a historic landmark — it’s where the legendary author lived and wrote some of his greatest works ✍️📚. Built in the 1850s, this beautiful Spanish Colonial house is filled with history, lush gardens 🌴, and a touch of island charm.

But the real stars? The six-toed cats 🐾🐱. Dozens of them roam the property today, many descended from Hemingway’s own pet cat, Snow White. Each one carries the quirky polydactyl trait that makes them so unique.

Whether you’re a literature lover or just a cat fan, the Hemingway House is a Key West must-see ✨.

antasy Fest in Key West is the island’s biggest party of the year 🎭✨. Started in 1979 to bring life to the off-season, it’s now a 10-day festival filled with parades, costumes, body paint, and nonstop island fun 🌴🍹.

Back in the day, Fantasy Fest had a reputation for being a lot more risqué, with much more nudity in the streets than you’ll typically see now 👀. Today, it’s still wild, colorful, and unforgettable — but with more emphasis on creativity, costumes, and community vibes.

Whether you’re here for the parade, the parties, or just to people-watch, Fantasy Fest is a Key West experience like no other 🌙⚓.

John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park in Key Largo is the first underwater park in the United States 🌊🐠. Spanning over 70 nautical square miles, it’s home to vibrant coral reefs, tropical fish, and even the famous Christ of the Abyss statue 🤿.

Visitors can explore by snorkeling, diving, kayaking, or even hopping on a glass-bottom boat 🚤✨. It’s a must-see destination for anyone looking to experience the beauty beneath the surface of the Florida Keys.

The Southernmost Point marker in Key West is one of the most photographed spots in the Florida Keys 📸🌴. Standing boldly at the corner of Whitehead and South streets, the giant buoy was installed in 1983 to replace a small wooden sign that tourists kept stealing 🚧. Painted brightly in red, black, and yellow, it proudly marks “90 Miles to Cuba” 🇨🇺✨.

While it’s currently under restoration 🛠️, the famous buoy is expected to reopen next year, ready to welcome visitors once again. A must-stop on any Key West adventure! 🌊⚓

Meet Robert the Doll 👀🪆 … one of the creepiest legends in the Florida Keys. Located at the Fort East Martello Museum in Key West, Robert is said to be haunted — and many visitors claim he moves, giggles, or even changes expressions.

Superstition says you must always ask Robert politely before taking his photo 📸 … or risk being cursed with bad luck. The museum even receives apology letters from people who ignored the rule and swear strange things started happening afterward.

Love him or fear him, Robert the Doll is a Key West icon with over 100 years of chilling history 🌙✨. Would you dare to visit?
