It is a fast-paced, fun, team-oriented water sport, requiring cooperation and synchronization between teammates. If you are a fitness or water sports enthusiast, looking for a new challenge, come and try dragon boat racing with us. We are fortunate to have excellent professional coaching to expand our skills and help us reach our competitive goals! We have been together as a team since 2006 and ha
ve competed throughout the U.S. and Internationally. Come out for a practice and feel what it's like to be part of a Dragon Boat crew. We practice at 8:00 am every Saturday. Recruit practice is at 9:45 a.m. Bring water, shoes that can get wet, and clothes that can get wet. We have light stretching at the beach and then load the boat. The coach will give you a briefing before you get on the boat when it’s your first time.

What I like about our Dragon Boat team
A great outdoor sport, physically challenging but also allows you to enjoy being on the water. It is also a good way to learn how to work as a team to achieve a common goal and a wonderfull way to make new friends! This is why the Dragon Slayers is an amazing team, both hard working and loves to have lots of fun!
--Melissa
I like that there is a group of people you can exercise with, compete with and then bitch about how much pain you are in and they all understand and appreciate it. I am part of the Dragon Slayers because it is a competitive team whose members enjoy being together and who also remember that dragon boating should be fun.
--Pam
This team is comprised of the most fun loving, yet competitive people I know. On the boat, we can still have fun, even if the Coach is giving us killer workouts. Off the boat, we're still a great team of people and friends.

Our Mission Statement
The Dragon Slayers' mission is to constantly improve our team by continuously challenging ourselves to assure victory; and to be well conditioned athletes through practice, personal training, and diet. We pledge to show pride and spirit and follow team By-Laws, accepting criticism to improve ourselves, and be loyal to the concept of team by thinking in terms of “We” and not in terms of “I”.
