To the Nolan Keane Baseball Classic Community…THANK YOU FOR A WONDERFUL WEEKEND. Huge thanks to all the teams that came out and played. As you know, this tournament isn’t like most and all proceeds go to the Nolan Keane foundation where we help families and children in need. No tournament ever played can be run perfectly, but we all appreciate everyone’s willingness to adapt and play baseball.
10 random reasons why we do this tournament:
1 What better way to honor Nolan Keane?!
2 We have teams like you, in our area that WANT to be a part of this tournament.
3 We get volunteers to help; Nick Welgat stepped up through every piece of the process.
4 We have local park districts and their employees that seem to go above and beyond to ensure this tournament goes as planned.
5 We have a group of umpires that WANT to be a part of this tournament.
6 We have Kewanee A’s coaches, A’s board members, and local High School coaches that are willing to do just about anything to ensure this tournament happens.
7 We have several local businesses that help in many numerous ways.
8 We have a unique community culture, with a mentality to make sure there is success in every corner of this tournament.
9 We all love watching our youth play this great sport and compete.
10 We have a Keane family presence that is so determined to put in the work and ensure we can provide as much relief as possible for our children/families in need.
