2025 Boys Golf Achievements

Team achievements:
School Record - 18 Hole Score: 305 at Portsmouth Elks
School Record - Overall Record: 85-7 (7 losses due to 8th place finish at states).
School Record - Back to back State Appearances for Boys Golf (school has only been one other time, 2016)
School Record - Back-to-Back SVC Undefeated Champs (56-0)

Well our final states round was cut short due to weather.

Rough first day with concrete greens, something we weren’t use to. We finished 8th place on day one! With Brendan Biegler finishing in top Ten!

Second day after some rain, the course started playing our style of play and we were on fire pin chasing! Half way through the round were we in second place for the day and moving up the leaderboard when large volume of rain delayed the match ultimately leading to it being cancelled. OHSAA has no plans to reschedule the remaining holes and voiding today’s scores so yesterday’s round determined State Champion.

So proud of these boys! They have worked so hard all season long, grinding long hours at the range, spending hours on a putting green and never stopping the desire for victory.

We going BACK TO BACK!!! - Drake

Boys started rough but finished strong!! WE ARE STATE BOUND! NCR South Course Sunday to Tuesday!

Brendan Biegler of course was a dog today on the course leading the team! Brody Biegler and Colton Krafft shot absolutely incredible rounds, they might be freshmen but shoot like seniors! Dalton (Smooth Gator) Bush had a great day, and took care of business as needed, proud of him! While Brungarth had a rough front nine, he cleaned it up on the back and continued to push to still give a solid 5th score! Proud of all these boys and happy Coach Shoults was there to help talk these kids off the cliff early on!

Shout out to Crown Hill Golf Club and Superintendent Nate Frye! This course played difficult but clean, fairways and greens were in impeccable shape! Thanks for hosting districts!

Westfall Boys Golf Sectional Champions!!!

Team score of 316!

Wet, Rainy morning… but these boys were firing shots all day! Brendan Biegler and Colton Brungarth split runner up medalist with a pair of 76’s.

14 teams came out today, with only 5 advancing to Districts! Next stop for Westfall is Districts next week at Crown Hill! Come out and support your favorite golf team next Wednesday!!!!

Boysssssss took second overall today at Zane Trace Invitational!! We started really rough but came back strong to take 2nd place!!

And of course… Brendan Biegler took medalist again with -1 par! Hey Gary Biegler you are gonna need a bigger trophy case… just sayin

Coach Rankin 2-year Conference Record: 112-0 (he’s a little unorthodox but effective… sometimes).

No better way to send off Senior Dalton Bush for his final conference match, we at Westfall were lucky to have you for 4 years!

These boys out here breaking records and becoming household names!!!

Ever wanted to know how good your favorite golf team stacks up to the other 171 Division II programs in the state?

Currently ranked 7th for scoring average within the state, and Brendan Beigler ranked 10th of 1295 players…

Oops we did it again!

Team score of 158! Closest match all year, because Piketon came to play!

Co-Medalist go to Brendan Biegler and Ian Camden!! Our 6 man stepped up and had himself a round today! And Brendan had an insane second shot on hole 8 that left him with a 3 foot eagle putt (which he made). Great job to all of the boys, as we advance to 42-0 in conference play!

Wo Wo We Wo! Great Success, high five!

Boys took home another 25 stroke victory again.

With Brendan Beigler 2 under par 😳! Based on the last few scores, he’s making under par a habit.
Ian Camden shot a 38 😬 putting in the work is starting to show!!
Both Freshmen Brody Beigler and Colton Krafft shot 39!! Both of these boys came up from 8th grade ready to do damage at the next level 😎.

Huge victory tonight! 24 stroke victory!

Boys move to 35-0 for regular season play!!
All six starters placed in top ten! Taking positions 1 to 4! What a special night, these boys cooked the competition.

Boys are gonna need back braces, their backs are starting to hurt carrying around all these big wins.

Another crazy performance, with Metalist going to Brendan Biegler with 2 under par! Runner up Metalist to Colton Brungarth (Gilligan - nickname pretty self explanatory once you see the photo) shooting par! Colton Krafft with 37! And Brody Biegler shooting a 43!
