On behalf of all our volunteers at the inaugural Sawtooth Ridge 50M/50K, monumental “thanks” to the runners who took the time to write these cards. You had our volunteers beaming with pride and gratitude.

After a weekend in the woods for the “semi-inaugural” Sawtooth Ridge 50M/50K, we’re reflecting on the ascents and descents. While we’ll share our detailed thoughts later this week, our immediate reaction is this: thank you. A thousand times over — thank you. To everyone who played a role — runners, kids, volunteers, spouses, friends, passers-by — thank you for making a day of lifelong memories with us. (And, yes, it’s okay if you made some memories that you’d prefer to forget.)

Thank you. Again.

We added a 50K to our Sawtooth Ridge event on Saturday, July 9th outside of Methow, WA. Like the 50M, the 50K ends with a 6,000’ descent! Not sure if you’re ready? We partnered with to offer runners a race-specific training plan. Drop us a line for details!

Hi, I’m Eagle Lake. It just so happens that I’m hosting the second aid station in the Sawtooth Ridge 50M on Saturday, July 9th. You’re probably thinking, “Wow, Eagle Lake, you are STUNNING. I’d love to spend a day luxuriating on your shores.” Well, I have good news for you: I’m recruiting six burly folks to volunteer at my aid station. I’m a 5.5-mile hike (or bike) from the trailhead, so you’ll be hauling in about 20 pounds of gear. As a modest “thank you” for your willingness to help runners have a huge day in the mountains, I convinced the RD to give you a Public Lands Owner shirt and $80 toward any — that’s right, any! — race in the NW. (If you’re only into the shirt, the RD will make an equivalent donation to the Methow Valley Trail Collaborative.) If you’re interested, send us a message! See you in July!
