Lift Ticket: Resort Riding in Covid Times - Ep. 3 - Around the World

The season has arrived! Unfortunately so has a rise in Covid cases around the world. As state and local guidelines tighten up to stop the spread, mountain resorts are still operating or planning for their opening day.

In this episode of Lift Ticket you can listen to our global roundup where we check in with France, Japan, and Canada to find out the situation with the pandemic in their countries.

We also check in with Eric Webster, Events Director for US Ski and Snowboard, about the status of competitions from Olympic qualifiers, to the X-Games, and even regional comps.

We are still game on for this season even if it is shaping up to be much different than ever before. We ask that all our listeners do their part now to try and slow the spread of Covid so that we can keep these resorts open.

If anything, your take away ought to be - brick and mortar retailers matter. They are the cultural torchbearers of the sport to a local community and offer an ‘experience’ or ‘value proposition’ unlike their competition.
