When a float goes missing last year and finally turns up… you’d think we just found buried treasure! 😂⚓️ It’s the little things that get us excited around the marina! Thanks boys! Huge thanks to Kit and Darrel! Thanks to Charlie for being our taxi! ketchikan

There are two types of people in this world… those ready to stack the deck with fish, and those letting the captain do the dirty work while they say a little prayer for the fish’s family. Who are you?

What an exceptional 2026 season.

Above all, this season belongs to our crew. We were fortunate to have an absolutely phenomenal group of people who worked hard, stepped up, took pride in what they did, and made Knudson Cove what it is every single day. From our returning captains to the new members of our team who are already talking about coming back, we couldn’t be more proud—or more grateful.

Great fishing makes for a great season, but great people make the experience. Our crew delivered that all season long.

We’re also incredibly thankful for the continued support of our Ketchikan community and guests from around the world—from cruise ship passengers experiencing Alaska for the first time to returning guests and self-guided fishermen who choose Knudson Cove year after year.

We’re ready for a little downtime, but don’t let that fool you. We have big plans this winter and plenty of work ahead as we continue improving the marina for 2027.

To our crew, captains, guests, community, and everyone who supports Knudson Cove Marina—thank you for an unforgettable 2026 season.

We’re proud of what this team accomplished, and we’re just getting started. crew

One of the coolest things about Southeast Alaska is seeing just how dramatically the tide can change in a matter of hours.

When you leave in the morning, the ramp might be short and nearly level. Come back a few hours later and it can be a completely different walk. That’s because our water level rises and falls with the tides, while the floating docks move up and down with it—changing the angle and length of the walk down the gangway.

These significant tidal swings are a normal part of life on the water in Southeast Alaska, and seeing the difference from the same dock just a few hours apart really puts it into perspective.

This is our tide swing at Knudson Cove Marina.
