KCSD Athletic Event Reminders
Athletic events bring our entire community together to cheer on Kershaw County School District student-athletes. Our goal is to ensure a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable environment for all fans. The following safety protocols will be in effect for high school athletic events.
KCSD has a clear bag policy for all middle and high school sporting events. No diaper bags, coolers, camera bags, etc. www.kcsdschools.net/clearbag
Approved Bags:
Clear Tote Bag - no larger than 12 x 6 x 12 inches
Clear Plastic Bag - no larger than one-gallon
Logos on clear bags cannot be larger than 4.5 x 3.4 inches.
Items that are allowed:
Clear tote bag no larger than 12 x 6 x 12 inches
Clear one-gallon plastic freezer bag
Small clutches no bigger than 4.5 x 6.5 inches
Medically necessary items (after proper inspection at gates)
Keys, wallets, phones, credit cards, and cash may be carried in a pocket or by hand
Seat cushions without pockets, zippers, compartments, or covers
Umbrellas
Clear rain ponchos
Outside food and beverages are not permitted; this includes cups such as Yeti's, Stanley's, etc.
Exceptions are made for medical needs. Guests requiring an exemption should notify screening staff when they arrive and request assistance from the administrator.
All elementary and middle school students (and other children) must be accompanied and supervised by a parent/guardian at high school athletic events.
All attendees will enter through our OPENGATE Weapons Detection system.
No one will be allowed to stand, congregate, or “hang out” under the stands or around the concession stand areas during the game.
All spectators must stay at their seats except when they are going to the restrooms or to concession stands.
Once an individual has received clearance to enter an event, the individual will not be allowed to re-enter if they choose to leave at any time.
