"All you have to do is......" the truth is, a fight or struggle with an unwilling opponent is not as simple as your one step exercises. Small changes make huge differences. If your instructor has not been drilled over and over having their mistakes pointed out repeatedly, they have no business teaching you techniques that you may need to save your life. A training video is not sufficient for them to learn. A battle is ever changing and rapidly evolving. There is no,"all you have to do is..." Your training should help you to adapt to the changing, evolving confrontation.

Make your goals obtainable. One more rep is easily done. Five more reps will cheat you out of the one.

You can't go from 10 to 15 without hitting 11, 12, 13, & 14.

Don't be satisfied today with matching what you did yesterday.
