I've made many rods for youngsters with all kinds of themes - favorite movies, teams, TV shows, just about anything you can think of. It's something they can use and enjoy for many years.

If you like to bottom fish on a saltwater pier, I have a great option for you. Start with a 7’ heavy rod blank to handle bigger fish and doubles. We could also use a medium heavy or 6 1/2’ blank if you prefer. I use a longer handle for better leverage. A white blank is easier to see if you fish at night. I would also recommend a double foot guide on the bottom for extra strength. It’s an economical build that my customers have really liked. Let me know if you have questions. This 24", 6 pound citation seatrout was caught at Topsail Beach in February. Matthew used a HookSetter Custom Rod that featured a 7 foot, medium power, fast action blank from Rod Geeks. Definitely the biggest he's caught......so far.

Check out this rod for a recent NC State grad! This medium light fast action rod is for bass fishing in small ponds, but I can do this custom style with any team colors on any size rod you want. (Video in comments)

Ryan Kees went fishing with me on Tuesday and caught this monster 2.7 pound crappie. It's the biggest I've seen. I'll post the custom rods that we used in a few days.
