Great message, we all wear Kenton across our chest! In order for our kids to be successful we must all be in this together!
Wildcats Hoops
Core Value: Family (Love)
Building a strong culture starts with genuinely wanting every Wildcat to succeed—whether they wear a basketball jersey, football pads, a volleyball uniform, run cross country, wrestle, cheer, play in the band, or compete in any other activity.
As coaches, we set the tone. We establish the culture.
If we’re not supporting other programs, or if we’re speaking negatively about other coaches within our Wildcat family, how can we expect our school culture to be strong and united?
Negativity is everywhere.
So is positivity.
As leaders, it’s our responsibility to choose positivity and help lead our young people with encouragement, respect, and gratitude.
One of my favorite principles is this:
Event + Response = Outcome.
We can’t always control what happens to us, but we can always control how we respond.
As a basketball program, we’re choosing to respond with love, discipline, and gratitude. We’re committed to building people first and basketball players second.
One of our goals this year is to intentionally support as many Wildcat programs as we can. As a team, we’ll be showing up to other sporting events, cheering on our classmates, and demonstrating what it means to be one family. When one Wildcat succeeds, we all succeed.
We are blessed to be part of the Kenton community, and we’re excited about what is in store for our students, our school, and every Wildcat program.
Looking forward to a great Tuesday!
