Scamps Gymnastics, Tumble & Trampoline

Scamps Gymnastics, Tumble & Trampoline Scamps has several programs which include: Preschool Gymnastics, Boys and Girls Gymnastics, Cheer classes & Boys & Girls Tumble and Trampoline team.

Scamps Gymnastics is a non-profit organization that was started in the mid 70’s as an after school tumbling program by a teacher at one of Kenosha’s schools. The original name of the program was “Southport Scamps”. The name “Scamps” was chosen to refer to energetic, mischievous children who like to run around, cartwheel, and flip. Randy Anderson became the director of Scamps in June of 1983. At th

at time, Scamps was housed at Columbus Elementary School and had an enrollment of 30 students. One year later, we moved to Pershing Plaza Shopping Center and remained there for 12 years, expanding the gym 6 times and increasing the program participation to over 700 students. In 1995, we moved to our present facility and continued to grow to approximately 1000 students. In 2008, we added 10,000 square feet to our facility to give us a total of 34,000 square feet. In 2020, Scamps became part of the Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha. Our gym is the largest and best equipped gymnastics facility in the state of Wisconsin with a current enrollment of over 1200 members. Our program consists of Preschool Gymnastics, Boys and Girls Recreational Classes, Competitive Boys and Girls Gymnastics Teams, Competitive Tumbling & Tramp Teams, Recreational Cheerleading Classes, and Competitive Cheerleading Teams. Throughout the many years and increasing growth of Scamps, the philosophy of our program has remained consistent. Our mission to provide children with a safe, positive, fun-filled, progressive movement education experience through the sport of gymnastics, tumbling, and cheerleading

Working through this mission statement, Scamps has produced many State, Regional, and National Champions and have had many gymnasts awarded full scholarships at colleges throughout the United States.
