I recently read an article in Ducks Unlimited magazine, that had this to say about Sporting Clays.

"Sporting Clays are often thrown in pairs, giving you practice in making the transition from the first bird to the second. It's the most social and most fun of the clay-target games, and if you walk the course, it's the best exercise too. Some Sporting Clays targets fly like nothing you'll ever see in the field. They go straight up, they fall, they curve, they bounce along the ground, and there are techniques to learn that don't necessarily apply to hunting situations. But those targets are challenging, and when you can hit everything a Sporting Clays course throws at you, ducks and geese seem easy by comparison."

That has been my thought for years. Shooting Sporting Clays will make you a better hunter. Here's first time Sporting Clays shooter and avid duck and goose hunter, Joshua L., knocking some clay targets out of the sky.

We had a great turnout for our 6th Sporting Clays event of the 2026 season. There were 59 shooters out at the Klamath Sportsmans Park this past Saturday. Some of the stations got a little backed up. Have you ever seen a suppressor on a 12 gauge sh***un? Neither had I until a recent Sporting Clays shoot at the Klamath Sportsman's Park in Keno Oregon. It was interesting to see and hear the difference. Not only that, but he was breaking clays with it too. Come on out to our next event on July 25th. You never know what you'll see out there!

These two targets were crossing right in front of you last Saturday at the Klamath Sportsman's Park. Sometimes you can break them with one shot, or you can miss them both! Either way it was a great day to shoot some targets in the shade of the tall trees. Come on out to our next shoot, Saturday, July 11th. Registration is at 8:30 a.m. and the event starts at 9:00a.m.

It was another great day this past Saturday to shoot some targets at the Klamath Sportsman's Park. Thanks to all of you that came out. We had a great crowd. Those tall Ponderosa pines sure made it feel cooler with all of the shade they provided. Come on out June 27th for our next event. Registration is at 8:30 a.m. and the shoot starts at 9:00 a.m.

All of the Sporting Clay houses have been restocked with targets. We're ready for more shooters this Saturday, June 13th...
