H4H Training

H4H Training All aspects of horse training from colt starting to problem solving I love to train horses and nothing is better than time spend outside with horses.

I have been riding horses for many years and compete in all aspects of rodeo (barrel racing, breakaway roping, steer daubing, goat tying, pole bending and cow riding). I do all levels of horse training from colt starting, trailer loading, to trouble shooting and issue resolution.

Cant wait to work with this girl and show her not all people are scary. After a bad experience she is very timid of everyone except her owner. After almost 2 weeks of just sitting and holding hay out today she let me pet her for the first time.

Teach the horse that the tools you use aren’t scary and just an extension of yourself.

Using body language we are working on a separation drill where we stand and wave the stick and string and smack the ground and then while doing that transition into a send and then back to a stand.

Out playing in the mud puddles!

No better time to teach water crossing than when everything is a lake from the melting snow and rain. These youngsters are doing amazing and learning to take responsibility of their half the work without hesitation or constant reminders.

Today was Chanel’s turn out. After we got over thinking my youngest daughter was going to eat her as she was playing with a dog 20 yards away we worked on some water crossing through the puddles and tuning up our sending on a lead.

Got snow?

How’s everyone holding up with the snow and mud? Are you still out spending time with your horses or letting them have a break?

Beth here got out and worked a little while stretching her legs after being locked up for a little bit while we had single and negative temperatures for a few days.
Theres not many conditions i wont work in unless its deemed unsafe for these beautiful animals.

Even in freezing temps still out getting the job done. Hope everyone and your horses are staying safe in this cold.
