🏆 ATHLETE OF THE MONTH: CHRIS ODELL🏆

From the Bay Area to Kennett Square, we’re excited to shine a spotlight on Chris! Since joining CFKSQ after moving to the area in April 2024, Chris has become a familiar face in the gym and a great example of what it means to keep showing up, challenge yourself, and have a little fun along the way.

A lifelong athlete, Chris grew up playing soccer and competing in track, cross-country, and diving, while also finding plenty of time for snowboarding, skateboarding, wakeboarding, surfing, and just about anything that involved moving. CrossFit added something new to the mix, strength.

But the biggest change? Mental resilience.
Chris says one of the most unexpected things CrossFit has given him is the ability to tackle hard things in every area of life. Whether it’s a long day at work, an unpleasant house project, or another sport, he often finds himself thinking:

“I already did the WOD today. I can handle this.”

And we think that says a lot about what CrossFit can become when you stick with it.

His advice to anyone starting CrossFit is simple, leave your ego at the door, listen to your body, scale when you need to, and most importantly, keep coming back.

Chris, we’re so glad you’re part of the CFKSQ community.
