Well, play is done for the boys and we ended up with a record of 3-3! Now they are continuing to have the time of their lives trading pins, playing wiffle ball, hanging with boys from other teams, and getting together with families for outings downtown. So incredibly proud of each of these kiddos!

After a rain delay, the boys battled it out against a tough team from Illinois ending the game around 11pm with a BIG WIN, 14-12! We wrapped up pool play with a record of 3-2 and will begin bracket play on Wednesday. Let’s go U!!

Player Spotlight! Last, but certainly not least….

#22 COLIN SCHMIDT

Meet Colin! Most games you can find Colin covering 1st Base like a champ, but he also enjoys playing Pitcher and Left Field. We love when he steps up to the plate because he is so dependable at getting a hit, advancing runners, and scoring runs.

Outside of baseball, Colin enjoys Tennis, Golf, and Platform Tennis. His favorite memory of his time at URA was winning his Minors Championship game!

Colin is cool, calm, and collected and maintains a positive attitude no matter the situation. Something fun about Colin is that he is the only player on our team who throws left and bats right!

We are so glad he this talented guy part of our team and has already been an asset in Cooperstown so far!

In 48 hours we will be checking in at Cooperstown!!! ⚾️⭐️🇺🇸

For those that don’t know, pin trading is a huge part of the experience - every team brings their own custom designed pins and the goal is to meet as many players as you can and collect a pin from them. Even the umpires join in on this! We are proud to be bringing our very own Unionville pins. The smaller blue one is our signature pin and the boys each get 85 of them to trade. The larger gold one is the special ”rare” version and each boy only has 15 of those to give away, so they become more valuable. 🎉 This is going to be fun!!

Player Spotlight!!

#27 GRAHAM HUNTINGTON

Meet Graham! Standing at 5’11” you better believe he intimidates every batter he faces while on the mound! Graham is a smooth and strategic pitcher with countless strikeouts in his illustrious URA career. Although he is best known for his pitching, he is also a trusted playmaker at 1st base.

Besides baseball, Graham also excels at basketball. In his free time he enjoys fishing, hanging out with friends, and watching Steelers, 76ers, and Phillies games!

Graham’s favorite memory of his years at URA is making it to the State Tournament for the 2nd year in a row after a well-fought game against Nether-Swathmore (both years)!

We love Graham’s competitive spirit and his “all-in” attitude. He is also a friend to all, often seen giving props to opposing players when credit is due.

With G in the lineup, we fully expect a “Graham Slam” at Cooperstown!
