Kennesaw State Equestrian Team

Kennesaw State Equestrian Team Founded in 2009, The KSU Equestrian team competes in Zone 5 of the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA).

Our goal is to act as a team that supports one another at all times. We are proud to be a part of the Kennesaw State Club Sport's Family! The KSU Equestrian Team, founded in 2009, competes in Zone 5 Region 2, of the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA). The KSU team currently trains out of the local barn, Five Star Hunters in Canton, GA. Our coach and trainer is Five Star's owner, and for

We compete in 4 shows each semester against 12 other colleges, and have slowly but surely been creeping up the ISHA ranks, despite the small number of competing riders! The IHSA, is the collegiate extension of the Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA). Hunt Seat Competition levels are as follows:
-Walk/Trot
-Beginner Walk/Trot/Canter
-Advanced Walk/Trot/Canter
-Novice Flat
-Novice Jumping (approx. 2'3" - 2'6")
-Intermediate Flat
-Intermediate Jumping (approx. 2'6" - 2'9")
-Open Flat
-Open Jumping (2'9" - 3')
-Alumni Flat
-Alumni Jumping

There are levels for every experience level of riding, even if you've never ridden before! If you're interested in becoming a part of the team, but are not ready to commit to showing, there is a non-competing opportunity. This means that you can benefit from everything that a full competing team member does, but are not required to lesson or show! If you are interested or have any questions feel free to contact us!
