Well this is not what I hoping for but after talking to my Doctor and the specialist, my neck and spine injuries are not fixable or at least not enough that It would be safe to race.
I have loved and been a part of racing for over 5 decades. That will not change, I will just have to find another way to do it.
I have been lucky enough to have a wonderful career racing in Several states and various tracks and classes.
I've won a lot of races and a few championships along the way, Ive also had my share of running in the back trying to figure it all out. But what I value the most is friends and memories that I made along the way.
Just want to say thanks to the people who have been a part and supported me.
Especially my Wife and my friend Mike Trigg.

I have been so busy lately, there has not been any time to work on the Car.
This car is very well built and is gonna be a winner I feel. There were a few things that needed to done for it to reach its potential. Instead of racing it knowing it's not a 100 percent race ready. I would rather wait until it is. We are planning to have it ready for the Willie Cotton Memorial race. I would not miss that one for anything. We are planning to move soon and part of the plan is to have a shop just for the racecar at home. Next year we should be in a position to get back to racing on a regular basis.

Well the Stock Car has a new home. Damon Hammond ( Wildchild) has bought it back. I was sad to see it go, but I know it is in good hands.
So now we are going to run IMCA Sportmod and possibly Eco mod as well. It will be a challenge, but I will enjoy learning how to set-up and drive a faster car. Come out and say hi. It is a lot of fun.

Race report. We found out why the car was losing forward bite. We fixed it and put a little more in it. I had good start spot in the heat and could not hang on long enough to get a 2nd. It now has so much forward bite it was picking the left front up and would not turn. We fixed it before the feature and it was way better. We started pretty far back and got caught up in a wreck early in. We recovered and ran pretty good the rest of the race. Lots of sheetmetal damage but that's just part of it. We learned a lot and had a good time. A buddy of mine Steve Vanbrunt helped me get car ready and came out. It was his first time at the races. I think he is hooked. We are gonna take week off and get the car fixed and go camping. We will back better than ever in a couple of weeks.

Well it's been way to long since I have posted any updates. Racing has been bittersweet the past 6 months. I was surprised after the season ended that not only did we place 3rd in track points at Grayson County Speedway, we won the IMCA points championship for there as well.
We knew that we would not be able to run our Stock car at Grayson in 2019 so we decided to focus on getting a better trailer. We now have a 48ft with living quarters. It's not new by a long shot but it will make it way more comfortable.
Then we lost a lifelong friend and the best engine builder I have ever known.
Willie Cotton has done all of our race engines and all of the Shops for three decades.
We just put racing on the back burner.
We loved the Stock car but we could not decide how we wanted to race this year. Lisa suggested getting a Sportmod so we could race Grayson again.
Last week we were offered a really good deal on a complete car that was built by the same guy who built the stock car. (Wildchild).
We knew it was meant to be. So come on out and enjoy some racing this year!
