We lost a piece of our heart, but gained an angel in heaven. This is so hard to post. Losing an AT family member is like losing a part of your own family.

If you ever saw Daniela (aka Matteo’s mom) at the gym, you always saw her smiling…even if she was stern with her little ones.

She battled her illness in silence and still brought the kids to BJJ, so they could learn to be tough.

Maybe she knew one day they would need to be strong. She loved her family and those who knew her, loved her back.

God, please watch over those she left here on earth. Crying doesn’t feel like it’s enough to ease the pain. Grab your family and hold them tight.

Please send love, positive thoughts, prayers, and whatever you believe in for her husband, her little ones, and her family.

We will be posting a story with the GoFundMe info to help with the future for her children.

The death toll of at least 115 marks the fires on Maui as one of the worst natural disasters in Hawaii's history and the nation's deadliest since 1918.

We have spread the word, here at The Temple, for on of our very own coaches,
