Sometimes you need a break during your summer break

Summer is active in a different way.

You walk more. Carry more. Swim more. Sit in traffic more. Spend hours in beach chairs. Chase kids around outside. Stay out later than usual.

And most people don’t slow down long enough to notice how much their body is holding onto until something starts aching.

That’s where yoga helps.

Not because you need another workout. Sometimes you need the opposite. You need movement that gives your body space again. Space in your hips. Your low back. Your shoulders. You need to loosen up sore muscles.

A lot of people wait until September to “get back on track.” But summer is usually when the body needs the support most.

Get on the schedule and give your body a little summer recovery this week.

A New Chapter for Fearvana Yoga Teacher Training

We’re excited to share that Fearvana Yoga Teacher Training is evolving.

For years, our training ran in the traditional format. One start date. One group. One set timeline.

While that structure worked well in many ways, we kept noticing the same thing: people were interested in training, but life timing didn’t always line up with a once-a-year enrollment.

And some of the most meaningful growth happens when training can meet the individual person in front of us.

So we’ve decided to completely redesign our program.

Our Level 1 Yoga Teacher Training is now a mentorship-based training with small group and/or one-on-one instruction — enrolling year-round.

That means:

➡️You can begin when you’re ready
➡️Training is personalized to you
➡️Scheduling is more flexible
➡️You’ll receive far more direct feedback, support, and mentorship
➡️We can focus deeply on your strengths, challenges, teaching voice, and growth as an individual teacher

This format feels much more aligned with how teachers were traditionally trained in the past. Close guidance. Honest feedback. Real conversation. Real teaching experience.

You won’t just memorize sequences and graduate with a certificate. You’ll practice teaching throughout the training, receive individualized coaching, and build the confidence and skill to actually lead classes when you finish.

This training is designed for people who are serious about teaching yoga and are willing to put in the work to become strong, thoughtful, well-rounded teachers.

You’ll learn how to teach the full spectrum of yoga we offer at Fearvana — Meditation, Restorative Yoga, Yin, Stretch & Mobility Flow, and Power Vinyasa — while also developing your own authentic teaching voice.

Because this format is individualized, space is intentionally limited.

Starting in July, applications will now be open year-round, and we’ll begin training when you’re ready.

If this has been sitting in your heart for a while, maybe this is your sign to finally take the leap.

Summer schedule changes

As we move into our summer schedule, Bliss Restorative & Meditation on Sunday nights, along with our monthly specialty classes like Deep Tissue Release Body Rolling, and Yoga Body Balls, will pause for the summer and return in September after Labor Day.

The rest of our weekly classes will continue as usual.

Summer is one of the best times of year for our studio favorite, Stretch & Mobility Flow.

This class has become one of our most popular for a reason. You walk in feeling stiff, compressed, or worn down from the week and leave feeling like your body can move again.

Hips loosen up. Shoulders drop. Your spine feels less stuck.

There’s time to settle into stretches, breathe, and work into areas that usually get ignored until they start complaining.

We offer Stretch & Mobility Flow throughout the week:

➡️Tuesdays at 7:30 pm
➡️Wednesdays at 7:30 pm (Warm)
➡️Fridays at 5:45 pm
➡️Saturdays at 9:15 am
➡️Sundays at 9:15 am (Warm)

And if you want something slower and gentler to begin the week, Stretch & Bliss Restorative continues Monday nights at 7:30 pm.

These classes pair really well with summer life. They help keep your body moving well while everything else gets a little busier this time of year.

One class a week can make a huge difference in how mobile and loose your body feels this summer.

Even one class a week helps.

Summer has a way of pulling people out of their routines.

One weekend at the shore turns into three weeks of takeout dinners, folding beach chairs, long car rides, late nights, and waking up wondering why your back feels tight again or your knees are sore.

It happens fast.

And honestly, you don’t need to suddenly become the person who practices yoga five days a week all summer long.

But keeping even one class in your week can make a huge difference in how your body feels by September.

Your hips notice the extra driving. Your shoulders notice carrying coolers and bags. Your nervous system notices when every weekend feels packed.

That hour on your mat becomes the place where your body catches up a little. You stretch. You breathe. You stop rushing for a minute.

And when summer gets busy, that matters more than people think.

Get on the schedule and keep your body relaxed and flexible this summer.

New here? Start with 21 days of unlimited yoga

One yoga class usually doesn’t tell you much.

Sometimes the first class feels great. Sometimes it feels awkward. Sometimes your body needs a few visits before it settles in and starts to understand the rhythm of the room, the pace of the breath, the way the practice fits into your week.

That’s why we created our student introduction special: unlimited yoga for 21 days for just $69.

It’s a chance to actually experience our studio. The teachers. The different class styles. The community. And what it feels like when yoga becomes something you return to regularly instead of something you try once in a while.

And your 21 days don’t begin until your first class, not the day you purchase it.

We have classes for every level, whether you’re completely new, coming back after time away, or looking for something more physically challenging. Some classes are slower and more restorative. Others build heat, strength, balance, and endurance.

Our most beginner-friendly classes are:

➡️Bliss Restorative & Meditation
➡️Stretch & Mobility Flow

Or, if you have a bit more yoga experience, you can move through classes like:

➡️Yin Yoga
➡️Flowvana 1
➡️Flowvana 2
➡️Flowvana All Levels
➡️Warm Flowvana

The goal isn’t to “keep up.” It’s to find what your body needs on a given day and build a practice from there.

No one talks about this after teacher training

Getting the certificate isn’t the hard part.

It’s what comes after.

The first time you stand in front of a room and realize you have to hold it. Not just the sequence, but the people in it. Their bodies. Their attention. The quiet expectations you can feel, even if no one says a word.

That’s where most of the learning actually begins.

Christa’s book, After the 200, comes from years of being in that space. Teaching, adjusting, and figuring it out in real time. It’s an honest look at what it takes to build an excellent class that people want to come back to. Not just a good flow on paper, but something that lands in the body.

If you’re a teacher or studio owner, it might feel like someone finally put into words what you’ve been figuring out on your own.

If you’re a student, it might change the way you see the person at the front of the room.

You can find After the 200 on Amazon here.
