Exercise is supposed to benefit your body. Which it does, if you’re not hurting yourself in the process with bad form, momentum, force, repeated strain on joints. Our culture has beaten it into our heads that conventional exercise is necessary for health meaning, your typical “cardio” or steady state exercise 5 - 7 days/week and strength train 2 days/week. Recent studies have proven that just minutes a week of hit (high intensity training) equal hours of steady state cardio. There is a lot of info in this post that I will break down in upcoming posts.

Train less you say??? Here’s why:
We believe – and basic muscle physiology principles state – that the best way to stimulate a muscle is by short, intense bouts of exercise. Not in long, drawn-out workouts, which simply can’t be as intense. Ideally, a high intensity workout should only last 20 to 30 minutes. Working out is merely a method of stimulating your results. Say that again…“stimulating your results”.

Attention Fitness Nerds: Read This‼️By taking advantage of intelligent slow movement training we can totally transform our bodies head to toe. This practice combines mindful training, going slowly through a full and continuously moving range of motion, and applying a meaningful rigor that leads us to the point of not being able to push, pull, or press any longer. This combination triggers tremendous progressive transformation. Our Nautilus MedX equipment uses one of a kind eccentric cams developed by Arthur jones that help eliminate force and allow for variable resistance throughout the range of motion of the exercise. And to keep geeking out- The resistance should be heaviest when your muscles are in their strongest position (usually the start of the positive phase of the movement), and lightest in their weakest position (usually the most-contracted position). This results in your muscles being loaded/targeted more effectively, and translates into a more thorough inroad and stimulus. Phew. If you read all that ⬆️ then you are a truly a fitness nerd too!
