Assist Championship 4/20/24 MVPs: Our boys wore orange yesterday and worked hard. Izzy Bragg (Brunswick Academy), Kamovion Johnson (Nottoway Middle School), Raymond Lancaster (Mecklenburg Middle School), and Jaden Jackson (Lunenburg Middle School).

The Board of Underrated Sports and the Southside Comets AAU basketball community would like to send their heart felt condolences to the family, friends, teammates and coaches of Mallakie Briscoe.

Today is a sad day for the Southside Comets Family and we are at a loss for words. We have lost one of our own, a talented basketball player who brought so much joy and energy to our program. We are heartbroken and struggling to come to terms with this tragic loss.

To the family of our Mallakie, we extend our deepest condolences. You are in our thoughts and prayers, and we will support you in any way we can during this difficult time.

To our Comet Family, we want to remind you that we are a family. We will grieve together, and we will heal together. No matter where life takes you, you will always have a family here with the Comets.

Rest in peace, Mallakie. You will be forever missed, your memory will live on through the love and support of our Comet Family.
