Kelso High School Unified Sports For family and fans of Kelso High School's Unified Sports teams. Dedicated to promoting social inclusion through shared sports training and competition.

Unified Sports joins people with and without intellectual disabilities on the same team, each with a meaningful role on the team. It was inspired by a simple principle: training together and playing together is a quick path to friendship and understanding. Kelso High School was the first school in southwest Washington to form a Unified team over three years ago and has been a leader in movement ea

ch year since. During that time the region has grown from one team to eighteen for the current soccer season. There are no tryouts or fees for participating and every student is encouraged to play regardless of sport knowledge or ability.

Kelso High School Unified Basketball Team is seeking unified partners for the 2016-17 basketball season! Partners are high school students who train and compete in sports alongside their peers with intellectual disabilities. Unified Partners play a valuable role in enriching the lives of Special Olympics' athletes by providing encouragement, understanding and support to help these athletes realize their potential. No prior basketball experience or knowledge of the game is required. Every partner must be able to commit to 1-2 practices per week and 4-5 Saturday competitions during the season which runs from December-February.
