****A MESSAGE FROM COACH FLORES:****

🏈 It’s that time again — the Rivalry Game we’ve all been waiting for! 🏈

I want to invite all Kelseyville community members and Kelseyville Football alumni to come out and support our Varsity Knights as we take on our archrivals, Clearlake High School, in the Bass Bowl. Let’s pack our sideline and show what Kelseyville pride is all about!

This week is a little bittersweet for me, as it will be my last week as Head Coach for Kelseyville Football. I want to take a moment to thank the Kelseyville High School Staff, Kelseyville Boosters, and especially all the parents who trusted me to coach their kids — or as I like to call them, young men. It’s been an honor to watch them grow on and off the field.

I know not everyone agreed with every decision I made, and that’s part of coaching. But my job was never about keeping everyone happy — it was about doing what’s right for the program and teaching these young men what real life is about. Around here, hard work earns your spot — not who you know, not favoritism. That’s the standard I’ve held since day one, and because of it, this team built something real: respect, accountability, and brotherhood.

My career path is taking me in a new direction, and I won’t be able to be as involved as I’d like. But don’t worry — Kelseyville Football is in great hands with Coach Logan Barrick, and I have full faith he’ll continue leading this program the right way. Please give him the same support and trust you’ve always given me.

Though I’ll be stepping away for now, I know this isn’t goodbye forever. Someday, you’ll see me back on the sidelines.

Your eligibility paperwork is due by Monday, August 11th! This includes your health physical, among other documents. Make your appointments with your providers so you can participate on August 11th.

SUMMER PASSING LEAGUE
The road to the 2025 high school football season begins with offseason workouts and the start of the summer passing league, which commences July 14 at Lower Lake High School beginning at 6 p.m. Other summer passing league dates are July 21 and July 28, all action taking place at Gordon Sadler Field on the Lower Lake High School campus. Junior varsity and varsity teams from all five county high schools are invited to participate. How many will remains to be seen. Middletown and Clear Lake both have new head coaches in the upcoming season, replacing veterans Bill Foltmer and Mark Cory. The official start of practice is Aug. 11. Games can begin as early as Aug. 27.

Mon, Tues, & Wed: 3:30PM-4:45PM

Mon & Wed: Open field practice after weight room until 6:45 PM.

You are to follow the workout schedule that is on the dry/erase board. If you are seen doing your own thing you will pull a tire to the fence. Too many of you guys are ignoring the workouts and doing random workouts.

Schedule is subject to change.

Since it's open weight room and open field practices, 8th graders can attend — it's not a violation. So if you know any 8th graders, let them know they should start coming out!b

🏈A Message from Coach Flores 🏈

Hello Kelseyville Knights Supporters,

I’m excited to announce that I will be returning for another year to coach our football team and continue guiding our program in the right direction. While we’ve experienced some changes in our coaching staff, I remain committed to building a competitive and disciplined program our community can be proud of.

There’s always new talent coming up through the program, and I’m really looking forward to seeing what these young players bring to the field this season.

After careful consideration, I’m proud to share that Kiuya Brown has been named the Head Coach for our JV team. As a member of law enforcement and a dedicated leader, Coach Brown brings a strong presence and serves as an outstanding role model for our young men. .

We may be a young group this year, but our effort, heart, and drive to compete aren’t going anywhere.

Let’s get after it — Go Knights!
